A magical experience. In a magical place.

That was the Female Leadership Experience in Ibiza.

A group of extraordinary, courageous, honest women who had something to work out within themselves.
Women with a longing. Women with a mission.

Autonomy. Going your own way. And dealing with what you find there.

The heroine’s journey.

That’s what it was about in Ibiza.

What you encounter on the bumpy road that life can sometimes be,
isn’t always within your control.

How you respond, though, is up to you.

You always have a choice.

Reacting in the old familiar way. An automatic response.
So typical you.

That’s the well-worn path.
All too familiar, predictable, and once the best option.

By continuing to choose this path, you keep alive what no longer works.

The question that must always be asked:

Is there also a different answer possible?

An answer that goes beyond all the conditioning.
One that opens up a new path to a fresh perspective on yourself, your potential,
your desires, your future.

Dare to ask for what helps you. Dare to say what you truly, madly, deeply desire.
Have the courage to forge a new path.

Honor your own life.

That’s the point.

You are the purpose of your own life.

Always searching for happiness, for where you belong.
Sometimes balanced, often off balance, intuitive and rational, lighthearted and heavy-hearted, longing for adventure, unsure about taking it on.
With pride and shame. With hope and fear.
Rebellious. Falling neatly into line. Full of confidence and also scared like hell.

Glorious Mess is what the fabulous Elizabeth Gilbert calls it:

Embrace the Glorious Mess that you are.

That sentence went straight to my heart.
And never left.

Embrace who you are and live your life, free from other people’s expectations.
Do your own thing and make your own choices.

Because as long as we put the approval of parents, sisters, friends, colleagues, and casual acquaintances above our own desires, that autonomous path in life will never work out.

That was what the heroines on Ibiza fully embraced and overcame.

Courageous + messy + glorious.

  1. Something has awakened in me. That something confuses me. That something sets me free.

I dare to speak and to be silent.

    Where does it lead?

    It liberates!
